虫好きだった子どもの頃

あなたは、道端に大きな茶色い毛虫。。
あの毛がモジャモジャしたのが這ってるのを見かけたことがありますか？(*^_^*)
あれって、結構進むのが速いですよね。。(^_^;)

あの毛虫は「ヒトリガ」という蛾の幼虫で、
成虫の蛾は同じく茶色ですが、４cm弱で幼虫より小さいんです。
（因みに本州以北に分布するとか。。）

実はさくらは小さい頃、虫にとても興味がありました。

アスファルトのくぼみにミミズがいると、
干からびちゃったら可哀相なので、手でつかんで土の中に戻したり、
（小さい頃、母から「ミミズは畑を耕してくれる良い虫さんなんだよ」と
聞かされていたので。。）

カタツムリ（マイマイ）から
本当にたくさんの小さな赤ちゃんカタツムリが産まれてくるのを
眺めていたり。。(^-^〃)♪

体がクリーム色で、背中に黄色い飾りがある
綺麗な毛虫を触ってみたり。。(o・｡・o)ｱｯ！ｷﾚｲ！

あとで、「リンゴドクガ（林檎毒蛾）」という毒を持った蛾の幼虫だということが
わかりました。。(^_^;)

小さい頃から少し変わった女の子でした。。(〃∇〃)←今も変わっているけど。。

さくらが小学校低学年の頃、マンションの庭でアオムシを見つけました。
虫が変化していくのが見たくて、虫かごに入れて飼うことにしました。

５日位するとアオムシが全然キャベツの葉を食べなくなりました。
最初、そろそろさなぎになるのかな？と思っていました (o・｡・o)?

でも。。。数日経った頃、アオムシをよく見ると、
アオムシの体からウジみたいな小さな虫がたくさん出てきました (￣O￣;)
急いで昆虫図鑑で調べると、
「アオムシサムライコマユバチ」という
アオムシに寄生する小さなハチの幼虫でした！！(>_<)

さくらは気味の悪い幼虫が憎らしいのと、
アオムシが可哀相なのと複雑な気持ちで、
殺虫剤を思いっきりアオムシめがけてスプレーしました。

産みつけます。






 

産みつけられた卵からかえった幼虫は、アオムシの体内でアオムシと共に成長し、アオムシが蛹になる前にその体を破って外に出て、黄色いマユを作って蛹になります。
 一方、アオムシはそのまま死んでしまいます。






数日後、さくらはまたアオムシを見つけたので
また飼うことにしました♪
アオムシはキャベツの葉をモリモリ食べて、やがて蛹になりました。
ある日帰宅すると、なんとモンシロチョウになって
羽をパタパタさせていました！　あ。。かわゆい！！(*^o^*)

そのチョウはすぐ外に放しましたが、
さくらはアオムシが変化していく様子を見るのが楽しくて、
またアオムシを飼ってはチョウになるのを楽しみました。

夏も終わりに近づいた頃、
さくらはまたマンションの庭で季節外れのアオムシを見つけました。
でも、全然蛹になる様子がありません。
それどころか次第に茶色くなってきます (^_^;)

また図鑑で調べてみると。。
実はアオムシじゃなくて、「ヨトウガ」と呼ばれる蛾の幼虫（「ヨトウムシ」）で、
茶色くなったのは蛹になったからでした！！(>_<)

う～ん。。　そういえばなんかこのアオムシは色が汚いなぁ。
と思っていました (;^_^A)

でもね、さくらは、こういう失敗ばかりしているから、
とても昆虫に詳しくなりました (〃∇〃)

今は殆ど忘れちゃったけど。。

実はこのお話もSNSの外国人さんに送ったメールの一部です。

When I was an elementary school child, I liked diffrent flowers,insects,animals.I have especially gotten interested in insects.
In fact, my home is located in the center of Sapporo, there are no fields and the woods. so I can't see insects very much in my neighbors.
I have kept stag beetles,grasshoppers,crickets,"bell-ringing"crickets (a kind of cricket),silkworms,horseshoes and so on.

One day I found a green caterpillar in the plants of my apartment garden, so I decided to keep a green caterpillar.
But later about 5 days, the green caterpillar didn't have the leaves of cabbage. First, I thought this green caterpillar will change the chrysalis.(o・｡・o)?
But a few days later, when I had a good look at this caterpillar, a lot of small insects came out from his body.(￣O￣;) 
In a hurry, I looked up in the illustrated book of insects with my mother, I knew these insects were the bee's larvae called "Apanteles glomeratus" which live on certain green caterpillars!!(>_<)
I was mixed up with the mind which hates these creepy bee's larvae and the mind which has pity on the green caterpillar.
At once,I sprayed the green caterpillar with insecticide as hard as I can.

A few days later, I found a green caterpillar, kept it again. He had very much leaves of cabbage, after a while, he changed a chrysalis.
One day I went home, he have eclosed! He turned into a cabbage butterfly! How cute!(*^o^*)
I set this butterfly free outdoors. I enjoyed watching a green caterpillar's metamorphosis, I kept it again.....(*^_^*)

It was the end of summer soon. I found a green caterpillar late in the season in my apartment garden.
I kept that caterpillar, this keeping is four times. But he didn't change the chrysalis at all, what is worse, he gradually came to brown.(^_^;)
Again I looked up in the illustrated book of insects. The fact is that the insect was not the green caterpillar, but the moth's larva called "Mamestra

brassicae", I understood that moth's larva changed the chrysalis!!(>_<) umm. I thought this green caterpillar was darker than the last one's green.(´▽｀;)

But I knew insects very well because of my failures. (〃∇〃)
